Feel Good Follows

Okayyyy so Insta has become a bit much lately.. It's like I go in waves. It is a total Love/Hate relationship, and just like an addiction I can’t put it down and I keep going back.

But about a week ago, it got really really neggy. The energy has just been really hit or miss- It has become an outlet where people are sharing all sorts of news. Political Views. The whole COVID stance. Its all been very bizarre.

I think a lot too, has to do with the fact that this time 4 years ago I was immersed so deeply in my flight attendant training that I actually wasn’t at all paying attention. In fact, I took a complete 10 week social media break- to just study. And to be clear that was during and then after the election. So when I made my insta debut back, the dust had mildly settled, and insta-stories had only been around for a total of 4 months.

No one was sharing videos, propaganda, or anything to the extent as we do now. NOBODY. It was still rainbow filter days.

Clearly that just is not the case anymore. And although we are all entitled to share whatever and whoever we want.. It's become a mind chilling place.. I could elaborate on the many different good and disturbing posts that you and I come across, but I think you know where I am coming from.. because I can bet a solid hundo the same is happening to you too.

  • Before I go any further- I want to be clear- that yes, bringing injustice, devastating environmental events, ways to help people, organizations aimed to helping the better of our community, ect.. is obviously something that is always worth a share- I sincerely do not want any of that to be misconstrued.

So I decided to start a list/series - which is not definite and will be ever growing- It will be called

FEEL GOOD FOLLOWS..

because who doesn’t want to smile today?

  • @babe_on_a_mish- what did you think I wouldn’t make the cut? Follow me if you don’t already- for EZ recipes #dishonamish, workouts, beauty tips, wellness, and inspiration all with Hawaii as the backdrop.. Sprinkled heavily with Sex and The City quotes, me goofing around, and flight attendant humor. Its a good time.. stop by.

  • @bossbabybrody - okay. Umm this is MY FAV FOLLOW as of late. A 4 year old dancing sensation that reminds me how important it is when you just let your own light shine. “A World where you can BE YOU”, Brody has reminded me of how great life can be when you don’t even for a second let the outside world in- and with parents like @citygirlgonemom who lets her son wear a dress and dance while literally everyones watching- I have hope in the future. Also if I could actually order a lil Brody- I would. Does that sound weird? Idc I love this kid and I don’t even know him.

  • @everyoutfitonsac - OFC. Although there a plenty of Sex and the City accounts out there.. All absolutely fabulous in their own right- Every outfit takes the muthafuckin cake. Why?? Because it's actually extremely interesting. Trivia, the scene behind the scene, outfit inspos, fun filters, phone wall papers- oh and legendary quotes ofc.. The creators of this IG phenom Chelsea Fairless and Lauren Garroni,  also wrote a book called  “We Should All be Miranda’s”-  in their words “The truth is, Miranda Hobbes is the feminist hero that we deserve— we were all just too busy obsessing over Carrie’s corset tops to notice it at first.” This is a fun account and I always manage a smirk when I scroll past any given post.

  • @dailystoic-  If you don’t own the book follow- on the gram- seriously. Or do both. I read a passage from this book everyday. What exactly is it? 366 Meditations on Wisdom, perseverance, and the art of living.  It’s helped me during this COVID crazy time. “Stoicism doesn’t concern itself with complicated theories about the world, but with helping us overcome destructive emotions and act on what can be acted on.” It puts things in perspective, jogs tha naggon if you will, and not only do I need that- I like it. Author Ryan Holiday is kind of a big deal- he is a google good time. If you especially like to just repost a quote to make people think- or feel inspired- you have found a library of sorts.

  • @twoguysonaplane - *has spit coffee out reading and or has choked on wine while reading* The uncanny sarcasm that is actually reality is something these two guys- have absofuckinglutley nailed. It's sort of a meme account, except it's so spot on- that I hate to categorize them as such.. Rich and Andrew deliver humor that mostly only flight attendants and pilots (perhaps maybe- very big maybe- frequent flyers alike ) could truly love, shake their head, and repost, repost, repost. It's our (flight attendant ) way of sublimely passenger shaming you- yes you- there's at least one of you out there following me - who is a nice enough person- but like so many of us know- travel makes people in a word strange. Oh and never mind about the meme account thing- these boys are also bloggers. Check’em out - twoguysonaplane.com - this is a public invitation boys- you are BOTH MOS DEF BOAM of the Moth worthy.. I’ll be sliding into your DMs.. Fasho.

  • @good_newsmovement - I don’t know who needs to read this- but its in the title. A journalist-run page for GOOD NEWS ONLY. Bilingual. Current. 0 politics. It warms my heart and soul for that matter to read good news. I mean it's been riveting. Follow this account to feel good about humanity.

Clearly there are millions and millions of accounts out there and I am all for suggestions!! Share your fav account anytime to me via insta, facebook, email or right here in the comments..

I know my Babes On A Mish out there got some Good Good to share..
